Anti-atheism is becoming more popular as the religious right suggest that atheists' attempt to bring their point of view into the public sector is akin to destroying religion and persecution of religious people.
Religious people characterize attempts by atheists to point out that the Christmas season was originally a pagan holiday are mischaracterized as launching a "war on Christmas".
