Talk:Did Jesus really exist?
comments?
-Josephus mentions Jesus twice, not once. Book 20, chapter 9. It talks about the execution of James, brother of Jesus called the Christ.
Also, there are more historians besides Josephus. There's Tacitus, Suetonius, Pliny, Lucian (wrote later but mocked Christians for following some guy, also he was a satirist not a historian). Then there's the Talmud, but that's controversial to whether it's referring to Christ.
All of this completely ignores that the Gospels ARE a valid source and there's no reason to discount them. There's no difference between the way they're written compared to any other history of that time. -Ant P
